P.E.R.T.

The Academic & Intensive Mentor Program provides academic role modeling, social development skill building, and linkage to community resources for at risk youth.  Mentors provide academic assistance through monitoring homework, school attendance, and school behaviors.  Mentors enhance the lives of youth by helping them make both academic and social connections to their communities.  Mentors partner with treatment team members to create strong, positive, academic, and age appropriate goals for youth in addressing their behaviors in the home, school, and community.

Assessment

An initial assessment is conducted to determine the nature of problem behaviors and functional impairments impeding academic progress.
